Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime

Ticket sales are now open for Thrapston Amateur Dramatic Societies’ next production of “Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime”; a drama by Constance Cox. The show is directed by John Lillyman and will be performed at the Thrapston Plaza from Wednesday 16th – Saturday 19th November 2016. Doors open at 7pm, performance starts at 7:45pm.

Based on an 1890’s story by Oscar Wilde about Lord Arthur Savile who is engaged to lovely Sybil Merton. Her pet chiromantist Podgers has read Lord Arthur’s palm and foretold he would commit a murder. Lord Arthur desires a blissful married life and therefore feels duty bound to get the murder over with first.

The show is directed by Sarah Jones and will be performed at the Thrapston Plaza from Wednesday 13th – Saturday 16th April 2016. Doors open at 7pm, performance starts at 7:45pm.

Set in the back gardens of feuding neighbours, this is a very funny and fast paced comedy. It is the night of Michael and Roma’s fancy dress house-warming party. The evening looks set to be a lively one until a string of hilarious disasters strike, including a distinct lack of guests, a burning garden shed, a marauding Zimmer frame and the prospect of an irate husband on the prowl.

Thrapston Amateur Dramatic Society (TADS) will present ‘Alarms & Excursions’, a series of short plays by Michael Frayn. Directed by Sarah Jones at the Thrapston Plaza, from Wednesday 22nd – Saturday 25th April 2015. Doors open at 7pm, performance starts at 7:45pm.

Alarms & Excursions examines (with hilarity) the difficulties modern technology has added to life. In Alarms, two couples embark on a dinner party that is doomed to failure as, one by one, labour saving devices and even furniture become hostile. Doubles sees two couples having similar problems in adjacent hotel rooms. In Leavings, the dinner party is revisited to great amusement.
