Here’s a list of the characters:
| Annabel Newstead | Late 30’s / Early 40’s. Brian’s devoted “homely” wife in Act 1 but not so in Act 2 when she is very, very drunk. |
| Liz Marshall | Mid 30’s. A feminist who sees herself as a cut above the rest, has no sense of humour. Quite a spiky character. |
| Colin Harbottle | 50 – 60. A bluff Northerner, a bit of a male chauvanist. The character works well with a Northern accent. Writes unintentionally hilarious westerns. |
| Peter Saltern | Late 20’s / Early 30’s. “a socially aware and environmentally concerned writer”, who writes terrible poetry! |
| Louise Smith | Late 20’s / Early 30’s... |
